Resident

Had to share -

I felt like, for one moment, I was an extra in Grey’s Anatomy or something.

A pt pulled out their IV, the nurse had difficulty replacing it, and then the pt decided he didn’t want it anymore.

And you know what happened?

A resident came to the unit, convinced the pt to agree to retry the IV, and then helped the nurse place it

I don’t know if the latest round of residents where you are have been more into being a team player and actually helping the rest of the staff, but our latest bunch has been phenomenal. I hope it’s a lasting change…
