Grotesque Guardian's tips and tricks

I'm not the best osrs player there is but I'm also not the worst, I just started grotesque guardians this weekend, I have around 50kc and I'm noticing I'm only getting 3-4 kc per trip. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to stay longer with more kc? Everyone I see talking about GG'S get around 8-10kc per trip. Im sure it's partially just having maxed BIS gear but unfortunately I'm not that rich in the game. Any help would be dope!
