Stability: Does it need to be 100% stable

Okay so ive been thinking about this. If you have an OC thats stable and causes lets take for example 1 crash in every 50 hours of use, is it necessary to spend hours and hours trying to get that stable overclock? Lets take into question also that there is also performance gains in the unstable overlock over what's achieved on a stable overlock, the computer is being used for pure entertainment so having a crash while your doing work or editing videos lets say is out the question (even though i dont know why you would have a OC to begin with for a work computer), then what's the problem?
