I have trouble finishing

I just had a thought I wanted to share and wondered if others experience the same thing. I’ve found as I (M33) get older I’ve lost a lot of patience with games.

Some good narratives still suck me in and I can crush a 6 hour session, but others I can barely resist skipping every cutscene cuz I just want some action.

More importantly tho I’ve found that I do this thing where I get right up to where the game asks if you want to proceed, as there is no turning back…

And then I never finish it. I’ll usually want to go back to the open world and find more treasures or upgrades or side quests or what have you… but I just never get around to actually finishing the final game.

I’ll just start something new and repeat the same process. Even after sinking 50+ hours into a game. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve just noticed it happen more and more recently. Dunno if it’s my age, the games themselves… anybody else notice anything similar?
