1/3 NLHE - Chopping Blinds
In my 1/3 NLHE game at the casino, everyone, and I mean everyone, chops blinds if it is folded around. As a newcomer, my question is if it is rude not to chop if I have a premium hand, or is chopping always expected? I.e. if it folds around to me in the SB and I have pocket 5’s, and my opponent wants to chop, should I simply say “no I want to play” and raise it? Or is this bad etiquette?
I have also heard “flamingo” where if you have pocket pair or suited connector, you are potentially drawing to high hand bonus, which means the blinds check all the way through trying to hit the high hand.
