Portugal 7 day trip in April

Taking a solo 7 day trip to Lisbon and The Algarve. Planning to spend 2.5-3 days in each location. I booked a hotel in Alvor for the second half of the trip since I just want to relax by the ocean and enjoy the scenery for that part of the stay.

I’m reading Lagos or Albufeira may be better in terms of stay. Any thoughts on this? The hotel I booked in Alvor seems to be very central.

Any other tips or recommendations on things I must do, see, or eat? Do’s and dont’s? I’m planning to rely solely on public transportation the entire trip. Any particular bus or train I should take from Lisbon to the algarve?

A little about me: I’m very much into the arts, photography, museums, etc.. Not huge on partying but I do enjoy occasionally going out for a few drinks. I’m a sucker for scenery and love a good adrenaline rush.
