Warning to Poshmark Sellers: New Scam Alert!
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a scam I encountered recently on Poshmark to help others avoid falling victim to it.
A buyer contacted me on a bundle and sent a suspicious message that looked like it was from Poshmark support. The message claimed there was an “unknown error” and that I needed to confirm the sale by clicking a link they provided. The link redirected to a fake website designed to look like Poshmark, asking for login information.
Here’s what the scam message looked like: • It said: “Notification from support: Due to an unknown error, a confirmation of sale is required from the seller. The notification is sent to the bundle automatically. There will be instructions at the bottom.” • It included a link to an external website with a fake Poshmark domain (e.g., poshmarkbundle.xyz).
Please be aware: 1. Poshmark will never ask you to confirm sales through external links or send such notifications through buyer messages. 2. Avoid clicking links sent by buyers and always double-check the URL of any site claiming to be Poshmark. 3. If you encounter something similar, report the buyer immediately and block them.
Stay safe and always verify suspicious messages with Poshmark’s official support team. Let’s protect our community!
