This sub has become r/coffee all over again

I’m not sure what happened to this sub but, in a matter of only months it went from a great resource to a cesspool of misinformation and arrogance.

Every thread asking for help seems to be riddled with blatantly wrong information and just plain bad advice upvoted to the top while the actual correct answers are collapsed at the bottom with double digit downvotes.

Open any thread about “dialing in” a recipe and half of the responses are “grind coarser” while the other half are “grind finer”.

I’m not sure if this is due to an influx of people migrating here from that other sub that was known for this kind of stuff or if the coffee industry’s lack of attempts at consumer education is starting to catch up to them but it’s frustrating to see so many being led astray and giving up on specialty coffee as a result.
