intrahepatic cholestasis

Hello! I am currently 38w 1d pregnant. A couple days ago I noticed that when I’m sleeping the soles of my feet felt itchy. Yesterday while showering my feet felt so itchy and the same thing at night again. The only thing that helped was stepping on the cold floor after the shower to soothe it and putting a fan on my feet while I slept. I don’t have itching 24/7 just when my feet get hot. I decided to contact my ob which happens to be away this past week but she emailed me back to get blood work done to check my bile acid levels which I did as soon as I got the requisition today and I went into the hospital to do a stress test for the baby and check my own vitals. They said baby was doing great heart rate was perfect. They prescribed me with ursidol until I can get my results back which can take 4-5 days which brings me to my doctor apt at 39 weeks.

How did you feel while taking it? The pharmacist told me it will hurt my stomach, not might.

Is this more to help the baby or relieve my itching at night. ?

I’m seeing a lot of people notice this prior to 35 weeks and not really much cases with my scenario which is stressing me out.

A little back story I got my gallbladder removed 2 years ago I have an anterior placenta I don’t have gestational diabetes or high bp I have had 2 successful full term non complicated pregnancies in the past.
