Is starting med school at 26 THAT crazy???

My brother has had nothing positive to say. It’s come to the point where I’m embarrassed to mention even the slightest ambition of attending med school in front of him. He’s only lectured me about the lengthy timeline and that it’s an extremely tough journey (as if I’m not aware). For reference, I’m a 24 year old non trad that has started taking pre requisites this fall and he’s a 22 year old taking this year to study for the LSAT. I’m feeling a mix of anger and discouragement.

EDIT: I’m still 100% going for it and he cannot change my mind. It’s just sometimes irritating.

EDIT #2: I’m sorry that I haven’t responded to many of the comments but you are all AMAZING. Thank you so much for the abundance of support.
