Can't find Maerwald

I've cleared out the entire first floor of the Endless Dungeons with no luck finding Maerwald.

After looking around online, it seems like he was meant to be behind the locked door in the center of the dungeon. There is a body in the area that had some coins and a lockpick, which makes me believe he may have been killed before his time.

If there is some bug and he is dead, is there something I can edit to bring him back? And if it is not his body, where can I find Maerwald?
