Puppy I’m babysitting won’t stop peeing in his kennel
Hi guys, I’m babysitting an adorable dalmatian puppy (10 weeks) but he will NOT use his puppy pads and keeps peeing in his crate. His owner doesn’t want him having treats and he peed on a rug almost immediately before going in (not using crate as punishment it’s just 2am and I need sleep and I think he knows that). He peed in his kennel twice before this night and I don’t know what to do. I’m taking him to his puppy pads every time he sniffs and about every 30 minutes and he shouldn’t be having accidents this quick after peeing so it’s either total lack of bladder control or he’s doing it out of fear or something??? There’s nothing soft in there but he’s using my bigger dog’s kennel so he has a little too much room. Owner also said that he could have his kibble as “treats” so it’s not fully out of the question but she said to keep it to a minimum. He also hasn’t gotten his last booster so owner doesn’t want him outside. Oh and his kennel is next to my bed, frankly the barking is less annoying than the peeing but I don’t know how to distinguish between potty barking and “I want out” barking. Owner says she normally lets him scream it out and once he’s quiet lets him out.
