Are puppy/dog winter boots really necasary?
Hi guys, i'm a first time owner of a now 13 weeks old wonderfull husky mixed pup. I am told i need to buy her boots for this winter, because of the salt and chemical the city puts in the streets in winter to de-ice. Half the people i ask tell me that is silly, the others tell me its actually really important to protect her paws and now i dont know what to think.... Any advice?
For context I live in the Montreal subhurbs in Canada and yes there is indeed a lot of salt and chemicals dumped on the streets and sidewalks all winter long; I just dont know if that is relevant to dog paws or not.
(Im told people buy coats for their pups too... But she is Half husky and so far has loved the colder weather we are getting so that i doupt will be necesary)
