Why are so many young Americans saying they’re afraid working after grad school / uni ?

Not American, I often saw the tendency online of American expressing a lot of fear/anxiety about leaving the university world to integrate the workforce ? Also saw comments on how going to grad school is a cope for avoiding to « become an adult » yet. I live in Europe and I rarely, if not almost never, witnessed this sentiment among my peers
