Normalize telling young men (<20) that they're going bald
"They probably know already" no they probably do not, and even if they noticed they're most likely in massive denial over the fact it's happening so soon. This longstanding culture of 'noticing but not saying anything to be nice' is actively destructive for situations like this.
If they're 25 and over and you see their hairline slowly starting to creep back I wouldn't say anything, slowly losing your hair in your late 20s is the natural socially acceptable way of nature taking its course.
BUT if it's a Sophomore year of high school kid who's pushing Norwood 2 with thin temples you have to sit him down and tell him that his hairline is more than likely going to be incredibly shit by the first year of college. And this brutally honest information can be the difference between life and premature youth death for these unfortunate souls. Because now we don't have to accept going bald just a few years after our balls dropped, we have affordable Finasteride and Minoxidil so this can be averted.
