I’m so tired of customer complaints being taken way too seriously.
Do they not realize that we all serve many, many, many customers a day that have absolutely no issues with us? So why do they take the very rare complaints from the asshole customers so seriously? It pisses me off to no end.
One of my coworkers just got written up because he had someone complain about him over nothing. He’s been here for well over a year and this was his first complaint.
Several weeks back, two of my coworkers had a crazy woman scream her head off at them because we were out of a product. She complained about them even though they did everything they could (I was nearby at the time) and they were under investigation for way too long. As far as I know, they didn’t get written up, thankfully.
I got written up over a complaint from a psycho woman a while back. Bitch was in the wrong, but they didn’t want to lose a regular customer. That was a few weeks after a customer punched me and they did absolutely nothing about it, btw.
Those are just the ones I’m aware of, as there are several hundred employees at my store. Everyone I know is sick of being terrified every time we deal with a bad customer, because no matter how nice and accommodating we are, there’s still a chance those miserable customers will complain about us and we’ll get in trouble.
I’m so over it, yet I need this stupid job. I just want to scream.
