Rolex Daytona purchase advice

Hi all, I have just gotten offered this piece at retail price and I absolutely love it however as it is a very expensive model I was wondering any opinions of rather this would be a “good” purchase. Through the past I’ve bought many watches not caring about the value and just because I like it, however as this will be my biggest purchase by a large margin so I would like to also look at it from a investment and long term standpoint. Granted I will wear the watch often but wondering how its value would change and fluctuate. Thanks all 🙏
