Favorite roller coaster related memory/story [other]

I would love to read about y’all stories/memories that you have that is related to roller coasters! It could be something simple or even really personal that you are willing to share. I will go first!

I was pretty young but I still remember riding my first upside down coaster!

My mom dropped me off at my aunt’s house in Milwaukee for a week (we live in MS) since I don’t get to see my aunt very much. One day, we went to Six Flags Great America for the day and my mom knew but was like “don’t put him on Demon!” I was small for my age (and still am lol) so she was had the “mother’s worry” about me being too small to ride (I’m pretty sure I was tall enough). My aunt was like “don’t worry, we won’t”.

What do we do? We rode it anyways! After getting off, my aunt call my mom and hand me the phone. I told my mom that I rode the Demon! She’s was like “hold up! What??” She was so mad at my aunt lol! My mom then said “did you like it? Did you scream?” After I answered yes to both questions, I gave back the phone to my aunt and she was like “he is fine! We’re all good!”

It’s been a long time since my very first ride on Demon, and I have only ridden a couple times since then. Even saying this, it’s still a special coaster to me! My aunt is currently battling breast cancer, but I told her when she is done with chemo that we need to do another Six Flags trip (and of course ride Demon together).
