One last tour for the summer!

After heading out and getting caught up in an unexpected lightning storm a few weeks ago, it's great to have what seems like the last weekend of Swedish summer (Last pic is me thouroughly enjoying myself but scared shitless counting the seconds between lightning and thunder while my guests sought refuge in the cabin).

It's moments like these that are the gentle reminder to the seasoned sailor to do what they can to avoid danger where possible. Sky went from sunny, to fat spitting rain, lightning, and thunder in less than 7 minutes. Guests went below deck, kept far from any metal objects, and I popped out every minute or so to adjust course. We were about 2 NM from port, so we were lucky enough to be moored fairly soon after the lightning started striking overhead and waited until it moved past us.
