I keep getting Failed to install cleanup program error, help

So, i wanted to play the sims 2 and saw this reddit, so i followed the instuctions and probably did a mistake in the 6-9 steps but when i try again and again to install it silently, it gives me this error: Failed to install cleanup program error. help, + when i open the sims it gives me an error that i dont have the game installed.
