Skylqbder not installed

I just got skylanders imaginators for ps4. It installed and i tried to play it thing is i dont have sensei's as i got the disc and portal by themselves. Now when I put a skylander on the portal i cant even begin the game i watched the first cutscene with stealth elf and Spiro get to the level and every skylander i place says it's not installed yet. Do I have to have a sensei at the beginning or is this a game not being fully installed yet thing or any help plz
