United Petroleum in Srilanka
Today, I met a guy who owns a United Petroleum franchise in Australia. He mentioned that United is planning to open fuel stations (servos) in Sri Lanka. The reason I’m bringing this up is that United Petroleum has a reputation for being a "legalized mafia" in Australia, known for scamming franchise owners (sources can be found on Google, including articles and Reddit posts from the past).
Why is our government allowing this? Foreign investment is fine, but why are we permitting corporate entities with questionable practices?
Fun fact: The owners of United Petroleum are Zionists—and no, I’m not Muslim.
