Hi! Travelling to kashmir in 24th dec-30th dec with family

Well, I have travelled to srinagar before but it was in november and also fully paid by my company so i had good hotels like The Orchard but now I'm sadly on a budget, so any recommendations regarding budget friendly hotels around 4-5k per night and cafes, since we going around christmas time would love to know any christmas themed cafes and also what are the chances of snow in gulmarg phase 1? and will it be really cold in srinagar.
