What canon would you wish away in any series?

What event or thing or person would you wish was not part of canon in Star Trek?

I’ve always wished they had never done that hologram communication thing (copying Star Wars) in the 5th season of DS9. I thought it was hokey & just unnecessary given subspace view screens.
