Those who frequently eat eggs outside, let's discuss random shit!
First of all unpopular opinion, I think the BEST and most authentic taste of egg dishes you only get from lesser known places. Places where they don't rely on just cheese butter and cream, places where the guy who makes the dishes INSISTS that you try the dishes that are prepared in oil because that's how you get the real taste of eggs. A lot of places that I've gone to do this... And their dishes are soooo good despite of not having any butter or cheese or amul cream bs and so many of these laaris don't even have a name it's just one random guy/uncle doing some sorcery with his art.
Secondly, i think two of the most popular places for egg dishes in surat don't taste that good anymore. I'm talking about 1. Bhai bhai nanpura and 2. Ganesh omlette begampura. Obviously there are many many more but let's focus on these two for a minute.
Both places are absolutely amazing there's no denying that BUT Ganesh has 2 types of dishes one green and the other is red. And EVERY green dish tastes almost exactly the same and EVERY red dish tastes almost exactly the same. Again very very delicious but at the same time you don't get anything unique.
Bhai bhai has a lot of variety but lately I feel like the quality of their food has gone down drastically and sometimes it seems like they're trying too hard to come up with random new dishes that don't make sense. And just like how Ganesh relies on butter and cheese I think bhai bhai is starting to rely on spices and cream. I don't necessarily mean that their dishes are SPICY but they do use aloot of masalas nowadays and cream too idk why.
