Tax exempt/ change W2?

In 2024 I made: 56k, paid $4600 in federal Husband made: $59k, paid 9100 in federal

We both got $10k raises mid-year. This year when we filed taxes we claimed 2 dependents (under 3 y/o), received childcare credit, paid over $10k in mortgage interest (if that means anything) and there were a few more small things that barely affected our taxes (interest income/withdrawing from HSA etc.). We received a return of $9200.

I know “the goal” is to be as close to 0 as possible, and “not give the IRS an interest free loan”. My husband doesn’t want to change anything as he likes the large deposit once a year. We pay our bills, have money to spend and save money so we don’t “need” the extra money but it would still be nice to get some extra money in our checks as we’re also not rich. My w2 has not been updated since before I was married with kids. W2 is single/ married filling separately with 0 allowances.

Would it be recommended if only I went tax exempt or at least changed my w2? I don’t mind keeping things as is as well but see no point in withholding an additional $9200 in taxes.
