I have a question for boys 🤨

When you go swimming and your wearing swimming trunks, what are you wearing underneath?? I'm assuming your wearing something? Do you wear underwear and just get them all wet and smelling like chlorine/sea salt? Is there some kind of swimming boxers for boys that you wear under your swimming trunks? I am confused.
