Help with gear design

This is realted to fictionkin rather than therianthropy but this is a gear community, I want to reconnect with my spitter kin type (L4D2) and would like to make gear of it but I'm unsure how, if any of you hav e time to share ideas or mock up sketches it would be greatly appreciated!
