Vortex over Wormhole

For so long focused on using wormholes as a way to travel back in time, why not focus on vortex manipulation?

All this time I thought my time-battery would have the purpose of creating a wormhole, but instead I had the thought of creating a time vortex to manipulate through the space time continuum
