No physical degree - will a letter of completion be enough?

Lost my physical degree, and my university says it’ll take >6 weeks to get a new copy. I start a new job in February - am I screwed or will I be able to show a letter of completion + transcript etc?

The company is processing all the legal work for me but I’m more so asking about how the border will treat this
