Travel Advice Request

I'm 24 transF Most of my older relatives live in South Florida. My grandpa is turning 103 in January and I want to attend his birthday party but traveling to Florida the week of the inauguration is raising a lot of alarm bells for me. I love my family and usually only get to see them once every year for this event. I'm torn on what to do. I'm open to any and all comments about whether or not I should go and what safety precautions to take if so.
