Time w family can be hard…
Does anyone else experience this?
My sister has long, thick hair. Every single time our family is together, people (but especially our mom) marvel at her hair. “Wow it’s so long! How long will you grow it? It looks great!”
I wear wigs. Nobody else in my family has this condition so when they occasionally do ask about my hair, it’s usually about what my hair looks like under the wig - which to me feels invasive and rude, but they wouldn’t get that and I don’t feel like explaining.
Even though I deal with this everyday - the hair freaking everywhere, the callouses on my fingers, the pain on my scalp from pulling alot - it’s just another consequence of this condition I’ve had looming over me for over half my life.
