Seat Cushion and Neck/Back Pillow for United Airlines Project

Hello, I’m a student at Northern Illinois University. I’m currently taking a leadership class called Braven. In my class my group and I are taking on a project that is partnered with United Airlines. The proposed question is, “How can United Airlines improve the in-flight experience for economy customers to increase in brand-loyalty?” My group and I decided to focus on the seat and how we could make it more comfortable for travelers going on long flights. We came up with the idea of making a cushion for the seat and a neck or back pillow that can be moved up and down using magnets. The loops on the corners of the cushion is for the seatbelt to pass through, making sure that the cushion isn’t going anywhere. The cushion and neck/back pillow material is made out of gel or memory foam (we’re still trying to figure out what’s the best material). The material on the outside would be polyester. I made a design on SolidWorks illustrating what it would look like. We are also trying to decide on a price. We’re looking between $15-$20 as an add-on item on top of the flight ticket price. My group and I would love to hear feedback on the product, the price, the materials.
