Critique my claim

Note: This is not meant to compare or diminish other injustices, but I think its genuinely the reason I spend the majority of my activism energy speaking up for the animal victims than for victims of other injustices.

Hi,
I have had this phrase in my head for a while now and I would like to test its validity with your help.

When people say, why don't you talk about this issue or that issue instead of veganism my response is something like:
"Because the animals are the most oppressed group of individuals - BY ANY METRIC - in the world."

So, my question is this: is there a metric by which that statement is not true?

For example:
-Quantity of victims. Obvs the animals with more killed each year than the combined total number of humans that have ever lived.
-Brutality. I can't think of anything that has happened to another marginalized or oppressed group that I would consider worse than some of the stuff that happens to animals.
-etc etc

I am looking for 'metrics' (if that's the right word) where a different oppressed group would be considered more oppressed because of that metric.
