Cheapest path to MGM Gold status

Hey all, will be taking my first trip to Vegas next month. I'm interested in getting the MGM Gold status and found this on their website: Status Match Challenge: Loyalty Programs (mgmresorts.com). Does anyone have any input on the easiest or cheapest way to obtain MGM gold match? TIA
