Am I in the wrong here?

I ordered this top and had to order it to inpost instead of my house for certain reasons, I’ve used inpost before and never had an issue, for some reason I never got a notification that my parcel had been delivered and completely forgot to check by time I did check I noticed I only had 2 days left to collect my parcel so once I could collect it I went to get it, now this whole thing has happened I thought the seller was being quite rude I understand that my messages seemed rude aswell but a genuine mistake shouldn’t have caused this whole thing. I was stood in a storm for an hour trying to get my parcel, doing everything I can to get them to send the code as I still had time honestly no clue what to do I’m worried my rating will go down I’ve never had this issue before
