WM-EX677 fast auto reverse

I just recently got a restored 677 imported. Everything is in seemingly great shape. I finally got to using it today and found that the auto reverse turns every side B in to a chipmunks album. Everything else functions fine. I hate to have to return it. Any ideas or resources would be most appreciated.
