Oatly DD: Milk these oat-nipples

Alright fellow regards

I am no financial advisor or somewhat near (financially) literate enough to give you any of my vanilla-flavoured oat-shit but here we are. As a long-time wsb lurker who likes safe bets, I have witnessed great falls and rises on this subreddit and that is the ship I want to board. Dont be misled by my username, this could be a big PP play.

Fundamental, schmundamental: Pick up your crayons and draw your picture. OATLY had high debts, especially in their Asian market lately, and reinvested quite a bit. They were/are on the verge of bankruptcy, which worked as a clickbait for the new CEO in June 2023.

Jean-Christophe Flatin (the new CEO) is the boyfriend of wifes. He already led a cat food company (royal canin) and mars as CEO. What comes when you combine catfood and chocolate bars? Thats right, oat milk with a brand name so popular under white girls, it could pass as tears of this Chalamet boy.

Mommies favorite milk: One of the reasons why OATLY suffered in the past were the high oat prices, but guess what? The oat price halved since 2022. They also outsourced their awful logistics and concentrated on their core enzymatic procedure making their milk unique. My non-representative survey of my vegan/vegetarian friends (or nice enough people to answer me) resulted in 100% favoritism for OATLY as their milk alternative!

There are two scenarios in my mandala book. Either OATLY goes bankrupt and gets bought by a big company for their name OR they become successful again. Both cases will give me a juicy happy ending as a shareholder.
