Completely irresponsible

Today this guy committed the apparently unpardonable sin of taking a seat on public transportation. @washingtonianprobs decides that justifies sharing his unobscured picture with their half-million followers, sparking a comment-section witch hunt of people trying to find out this guy’s identity and employer.

Rosa Parks is an American icon and her memory and sacrifice should absolutely be commemorated. But WMATA’s gesture today — literally asking people to move to the back of the bus — was performative and misguided.

But forget all that — there’s a chance that this guy didn’t even see the sign. Maybe there was someone sitting there before him? There could be several other factors at play here that don’t involve this dude being some sort of racist who decided to desecrate or ignore her legacy, as this post is leading people to imply.

I know folks are reasonably wound up right now, but don’t let that anger be misdirected. If the admin of washingtonianprobs is reading this, I think you should be ashamed and hope you delete your post.
