i hate it when a webtoon artist keeps going on hiatus every 6 months or so

it proves how terrible they are treated

10/10 times the reason for hiatus is:-

- medical reasons due to overwork

- financial issue due to being underpaid (despite a successful comic)

- scoliosis

- the schedule was too brutal to manage

very rarely it happens that an artist ends the season where they wanted to or take a hiatus because they are moving to a new place.

these people are breaking their backs (literally) making comic strips and then being paid in pennies for it. the fact that purple hyacinth hasn't been back in 2 years because the artist is still going through their treatment (which they updated isn't much successful so please support them) makes me infuriated at how much they suffer.

it scares me how medical injury related to backbone/vertebral column and financial instability is so common in this industry
