Dreaded Destination Wedding

Yeah, yeah I know. Anyways, since I'm an immigrant with family in a few places (mainly Paraguay, Italy, and Australia) and my partner's family is spread throughout the US, we're at this point leaning towards just having our wedding in Italy during the spring (especially for my relatives in Paraguay, this is a difference between not needing a visa for Italy, but they would need one to come to the US).

So with that in mind, I was thinking of sending along with the wedding invitations a little book with things to do/POI/etc., for the region we will be getting married in... Basically a little travel brochure, I guess. Has anybody done this before for their destination wedding? Would it be too over the top, or would those of you who have had to travel abroad for weddings in the past have appreciated something like that?
