Mother of the Groom - getting ready for the ceremony

Am I wrong to ask my future DIL if they have plans for hair and makeup the day of the wedding and can I get in on that? I just want to know if I should make alternate arrangements. She has a pretty big wedding party (7 attendees and her mom) Other weddings I've been a tertiary part of, the mother of the groom is always involved in the getting ready part. She hasn't offered, Is it presumptuous of me to ask? TIA
