Talk me out of buying this car

I have a budget of $30k I am considering of buy a Chevy Trax. It usually takes me 15-20 minutes to get to work so I need something reasonable and reliable. I also take a lot of trips out of town about 1-2 hours alway.

Edit: This my first time buying a car.

Edit 2: I’m from Texas so it’s drive to get to everything. That’s why I’m looking for a reliable and affordable car. I currently have a BMW 320i which is horrible. It has a lot of maintenance issues and I don’t want to have that on my next car. Also don’t want to pay a lot in gas.

Edit 3: Thank you everyone who responded I am trying to read them all. I have decided to look in Honda and Toyota will be going to the dealership to look and ask questions.

Final edit: Thanks again for all of the great advice and feedback I truly appreciate it. With that being said I have test driven RAV4 and Corolla Cross and liked both but my finial decision I choose the Cross. So, I have a new Corolla Cross hybrid
