Undead Rogue - Only PVP?

Hey everyone, are Undead Rogues only useful for PVP? I want to make one but have no intention of diving into PVP content for a while.

My buddies told me to not waste my time with it, but I’m curious before I put effort in. How well would I fare in PVE content as an Undead Rogue? Is it only good in PVP?
