Question about the messiah trilogy reading order

Hey folks, I totally skipped over a lot of the 2000's after astonishing x men back when I was doing my first read through. I am trying to go back and read the goodies of what I skipped and I have heard the messiah trilogy rules. I have MU but wouldn't be opposed to buying the trades on comixology as I prefer reading a trade collection to reading single issues in order on the app. My question is, if I don't want to read EVERYTHING in between the big ones, am I okay to just read messiah complex, messiah war, and second coming? or does the stuff not included in those trades matter a lot? thanks for any advice. I really want to read these books but its daunting to go back to the 2000s lol
