[OoT3D] How obvious was Sheik's reveal to you?

My girlfriend has been playing OoT3D, its her first Zelda game ever, but as soon as Sheik appeared, she exclaimed that she (feminine pronoun) looks like Zelda. The red eyes threw her off a bit though, I'll see how this develops.

I wonder if you were just as fast when you saw Sheik for the first time.
