Hydrolyzed Protein Diet - which is best?
As you can see, Buddy continues to suffer from allergies. He’s on apoquel and hydroxyzine, gets cytopoint monthly. Also gets baths and calm mousse as directed by vet.
Doing a food trial with hydrolyzed protein food seems to help a lot (once some issues with inappropriate snacking were addressed). My vet’s mail order pharmacy only sells Royal Canin but they have given me a prescription that I can use online.
On Chewy I see Royal Canin, Blue Buffalo, Hills Science Diet, and Purina Pro Plan. Any advice on these or other brands? Cheaper sources? The Buddster says TIA.
