I find enjoyment from spending quality time with my family, not from owning objects. I'm very happy and I'm certainly not living a life without spending money on the occasional splurge. I'm spending roughly 10-15k on a romantic vacation with my wife next year to celebrate a big anniversary. If I just wanted to hoard money, I would never do such a thing, I'd just buy more Bitcoin. If the value of my Bitcoin is ever enough to make it where I could quit my day job so that I could spend more time with my family, I'd do that.
