So I had mgen back in January. Took doxy and moxi and got a clean bill of health with a test two weeks after finishing treatment. My partner has mgen now, so i went and got tested again. Both of them were pcr tests and both are negative. What gives?

I'm seeing posts about people who test negative and still have the disease, people who have had the disease for years, and treatments that never work. I don't want to be paranoid, but is there no hope? Is this something you are stuck with? Because it sounds like there is no definite answer.

5 days after 2 doxy for a week and 1 moxi for a week. No residual symptoms, no pain, nothing. I wonder how long it would take to come back, assuming it didn't clear? (Which i hope it did)

Took my last moxifloxacin yesterday after 7 days of doxycycline. No symptoms, no residuals, nothing since 4th day of doxycycline. I hope the worst is behind me.
