I think seeing the penis is the least of the issues. Your son is four, not ten. Your daughter sounds very sweet. I would say the only issue seems to be that she keeps an eye on her younger siblings. It does seem like a lot for an 8 year old. So long as she is happy and enjoys it then I don't see the issue. As long as she is free to change her mind on the responsibility at any time like say "mom, they are arguing but I just want to read my book" or "I'm gonna go outside and play " while they are still inside with you. I'm sure your boy will be potty trained soon, and the neighbor can shove her puritanical fear of sex organs and sexualizing a child up her rear. There doesn't seem to have an issue or fear of sexual abuse but rather your daughter sees a small child's penis

NTA ... because I was changing diapers around that age. It's fine. I wasnt incharge of taking care of the kids, i was just helping. As long as she's not incharge of this task, I think it's fine if she helps when you need it. Just don't place most of any responsibilities on her.

Oh she is of course never in charge of changing her brother and I would never try to make her feel like she had to change her brother, but she is happy to help out and change him and there is nothing wrong with that!
